candle care is often forgotten, but very important

Care & Use

Candle

  • Allow your candle to burn from edge to edge. This ensures that your candle burns evenly each time you light it.
  • Do no burn your candles for longer than 4 hours at a time. For candle tins, do not exceed 1 hour, the sides of the tin will get hot please use cautions when touching.
  • If you choose to burn your candles for longer than recommended your candle wick may "mushroom". Mushrooming, most commonly seen on cotton wicks is a build up carbon in the wick causing a mushrooming appearance on the wick. The longer the flame burns the more the mushroom will grow and the flame will also begin to grow and flicker. With our wooden wicks, if you burn longer than we recommend the wick will begin to split.
  • Please "trim yo' wick" to 1/4' before each light. Trimming the candle wick before each light ensures an even burn, controlled flame, and no carbon residue leaking in melt pool. Trimming your wick can done with scissors, nail clippers, or our wick trimmers.
  • Keep your candle and environment safe and insight. Don't burn your candle near a draft, keep away from pets and children, burn on an even and level surface, and away from flammable items.
  • REMINDER, Do not burn candle longer than the recommended time.
